Joey George

Editorial Stylist

Joey George is a freelance editorial hairstylist living in New York City. He began his career at the Aveda Institute and, upon completing his cosmetology degree, he was accepted into the Bumble and Bumble salon apprenticeship program where he quickly discovered his passion for editorial hair styling. After departing Bumble and Bumble in 2008, he began working and training alongside some of the most renowned hairstylists in the industry such as Luigi Murenu, Rutger, Bok Hee, Rita Marmor, and David Von Cannon.

Joey has worked with designers such as Marc Jacobs, Zac Posen, Reem Acra, Jason Wu, Creatures of the Wind, Givenchy, Rick Owens, Helmut Lang, Rad Hourani, Betsey Johnson, Maison Martin Margiela. He contributes his talents regularly to campaigns for Estee Lauder, CoverGirl, Maidenform, and Jones New York. He has also worked for magazines such as Vogue Korea, Interview Russia Magazine, L’Offical Hommes Magazine, Bullett Magazine, ODDA Magazine, Glamour Magazine, Elle Magazine Mexico and many more.

Joey attributes his many achievements to hard work, passion, positive energy, and technique.
